Yaiii!!! Thanks to Mycah and Mari we have almost 20 new photos of Michelle and Tom Cruise on the set of Mission: Impossible III. Take a look at them here! In the editing room he and his producer and mentor, Soderbergh, decided to excise a whole plot-line, cutting three actors out. Gaghan had to call Michelle Monaghan, Gina Gershon, and the French-Algerian actor Said Amadis to tell them they were no longer in the picture. "Those were really tough phone calls. I didn't like it at all. And I loved their storyline, I think it worked really, really well," Gaghan says. "But at the end of the day the problem was not 'Oh, I have to make the movie shorter.'... It was always pretty tight. "What happens is you can process only so much narrative... . And suddenly you find yourself - me, Steve Gaghan - in the editing room, watching a cut of the film, and the five separate stories, all with their own beginnings, middles and ends and their own thematics, and it was too much. I could not reset. I would feel some part of my brain just spinning. I'd be like, 'Wait, who? What? Who is this?' And I wrote it!"
